A creator video can be right the day it goes up and off-brief a month later, without anyone changing a word.
TikTok says its Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign runs on TikTok Shop from November 11 to November 30.
Some creator videos made for it may name a deal price. When the deal ends, those videos may stay up.
TikTok's Policy Pulse covers this in its July 2026 creator updates. It says discount claims in creator content must be accurate and “still valid when viewers see the content.” It adds: “Content should be updated or removed when a promoted discount expires.”
An example, with made-up round numbers:
- 200 creators each post 3 videos that name your holiday price. That is 600 videos.
- On December 1 the deal ends and your price changes.
- All 600 still name the holiday price until each creator updates or removes the video.
Your team may have watched some of them in November. Say they matched the brief then. Nothing in the video changed. The price did.
A review during the sale does not show which videos are off-brief after it.
A question for your team: when your holiday deal ends, how will you find the videos that still show it?
